Photodegradation of selected π-conjugated electro-optic chromophores
The photodegradation properties of six electro-optic chromophores in guest-host polymer formats were measured as a function of wavelength throughout the visible and up to 1.3 m in the near infrared. The chromophore structure was varied to provide insight into its relationship with photostability.
متن کاملMapping the emitting sites within a single conjugated polymer molecule.
We map the location of emitting sites within a single conjugated polymer molecule poly[2-methoxy-5-(2'-ethyl-hexyloxy)-1,4-phenylene vinylene] with nanometre accuracy by means of a single-molecule imaging technique.
متن کاملAchiral single molecule magnet and chiral single chain magnet.
An achiral molecular square and a chiral chain composed of cyanide bridged Fe(III) and Ni(II) ions were prepared, and they act as a single molecule magnet and a chiral single chain magnet, respectively.
متن کاملSingle chain spectroscopy of conformational dependence of conjugated polymer photophysics.
Single molecule confocal fluorescence microscopy was used to perform photoluminescence spectroscopy on single, isolated molecules of the conjugated polymer poly[2-methoxy, 5-(2'-ethyl-hexyloxy)-p-phenylene-vinylene] (MEH-PPV). We show that the fluorescence from single chains of this electroluminescent polymer depends strongly on chain conformation. The time evolution of the spectra, emission in...
متن کاملUnderstanding the Structural Evolution of Single Conjugated Polymer Chain Conformers
Single molecule photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy of conjugated polymers has shed new light on the complex structure–function relationships of these materials. Although extensive work has been carried out using polarization and excitation intensity modulated experiments to elucidate conformation-dependent photophysics, surprisingly little attention has been given to information contained in t...
